I’m Laura Marques Brown, LCPC, a first-generation daughter of Brasilian immigrants. I trained first as an ecotherapist in a wilderness therapy program, and nature has always been the place I belong, in a world that has made me feel I belong everywhere and nowhere at once.
10 years into this work. I specialize in Brainspotting, IFIO, and somatics, with intersectional liberation as my root modality. Within my first six months of opening my private practice, I had my first $12K month, seeing 12 clients a week, not 25, as the sole earner for my family of four. This was a life-changing reality. My caseload is about 90% QTBIPOC clients. This taught me that you don’t have to choose between earning well and serving the people you’re meant to serve.

We do the root work first: Colonial legacy burdens are tended to, lineage is honored and reckoned with, wisdom reclaimed. All within affinity community spaces. Our program is unmatched in terms of intentionality of care for our clients, down to how to facilitate and hold space for our healers. Then we grow the business on that foundation.
